...my son is always so happy to go to therapy and see Mrs. Bentley and Honey (the therapy dog). I am so thankful and grateful for our experience at Meaningful Movements!

Bentley Hopper Headshot

Bentley Hopper, OTD, OTR/L

Bentley graduated with a doctorate in occupational therapy from the University of Central Arkansas and has worked primarily in the pediatric outpatient setting for almost three years in Central Arkansas. Before pursuing her current path, she worked at Arkansas Children’s Hospital inpatient rehabilitation and acute care as well as adult outpatient and inpatient rehab through Conway Regional Rehab Hospital and University of Central Arkansas's Interprofessional Teaching Center.

Meaningful Movement was founded by Bentley and her husband, Austin, to help meet the need for pediatric therapy services in their hometown of Monticello, Arkansas.

Honey, certified therapy dog headshot

Honey, Certified Therapy Dog

Honey, our 5 year old golden retriever, is certified through Alliance of Therapy Dogs after undergoing prolonged socialization, training, and three on-site evaluations. With parent permission, she participates in animal assisted interventions during sessions such as holding objects, retrieving objects, managing her collars and bows for fine motor skills, and even following a recipe to create treats for her! Children have overcome fears of dogs while working with Honey, have grown to be more confident, and are almost always more motivated for therapy when Honey is actively engaged in our interventions!
